Every person entering France should be in possession of a valid passport or ID card meeting the official EU standards. Visitors from some countries will require a visa. You can obtain detailed information from the website of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Please contact the nearest French Embassy or Consulate to your home for further information.

The electric current used in France provides 220 Volts; its frequency is 50 Hz and the plugs have two male contact points. Plan to bring a transformer for your electrical or electronic equipment if it uses a different voltage and, if necessary, also bring a plug adapter.
